Tesla CEO Elon Musk offered everyone another booking update on twitter, telling them that the Cybertruck has now broken 250,000 pre-orders.

The update comes not exactly seven days after the truck’s reveal.

Not exclusively is the new number colossal for not exactly seven days of offers, yet the rate at which reservations are coming in is by all accounts holding strong.

Tesla got 41,000 reservations in ~23 hours between Saturday and Sunday. This new number represents an expansion of 50,000 in 49 hours since Musk’s last update on the issue.

That 50,000 reservations could merit at least $2 billion in potential income – if everybody finishes and orders the truck, even at base model costs. Which they won’t, there will be dropouts and some will order higher option levels.

This represents a drop in reservation rate, as ought expected, however, the fact is that there are still many individuals getting in line for this unreleased truck considerably after a few days. When all is said in done, particularly with such a low, $100 bar of entry, one would anticipate that takers should be very frontloaded.
